Schering-Plough

Michael D. Boyd has been appointed vice president, public affairs, international, Schering-Plough Corp. In this role, he will be responsible for leading and managing international external public affairs activities, with a focus on relations with key customers and stakeholders in the European region and internationally. He is based in Kenilworth, NJ and reports to Tom Sabatino, executive vice president and general counsel.

Mr. Boyd joins the company from Pfizer, where he was most recently senior director, government relations in Washington, D.C. Prior to that he was director, public affairs, Asia and Australia, for Pfizer in New York. He previously worked for U.S. Representative Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) as a legislative assistant responsible for international trade, international relations and agriculture issues. He also worked as an attorney with the General Electric in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Washington, DC.
